SMS Messages & Opt-In
How YamuGo sends text messages, what you can expect to receive, and how to manage or stop them at any time.
What messages we send
YamuGo Inc sends transactional text messages related to your account and trips. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS. Messages include:
Login & verification codes
One-time passcodes (OTP) to verify your phone number and securely sign in to your account.
Booking & trip confirmations
Confirmation when a trip is booked, matched, or updated so you always know your ride status.
Driver-arrival & status alerts
Timely updates such as when your driver is arriving or your trip status changes.
Important account notifications
Security and account-related notices tied to actions you take in the YamuGo app.
How you opt in
You opt in to receive SMS from YamuGo during sign-up in the YamuGo rider or driver app:
- Open the YamuGo app and start creating your account.
- Enter your mobile phone number on the verification screen.
- Review the consent notice shown on that screen and tap “Send code / Verify.” By tapping it, you agree to receive account and trip SMS from YamuGo at the number you provided.
- Enter the one-time code we text you to confirm your number.

Message frequency & rates
Message frequency varies based on your activity — for example, when you log in, book a trip, or a trip status changes. Message and data rates may applydepending on your mobile carrier and plan.
How to opt out or get help
- Opt out: reply STOP to any YamuGo message, or remove or change your number in the app’s account settings. You will receive a confirmation and no further SMS (except where required to complete an action you request, such as a login code).
- Help: reply HELP to any message, or email [email protected].
- Resubscribe: reply START to begin receiving messages again.
Sample messages
Your YamuGo verification code is 123456. Do not share it. It expires in 5 minutes.
YamuGo: Your booking is confirmed. Your driver is on the way and will arrive shortly.
YamuGo: Your driver has arrived at the pickup point. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.
